In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Zonk is a dice game that you can play for money in any tavern. Winning a fortune in this way is difficult - the stakes are very small, but you can still get hold of an extra hundred pennies. As in any other game of chance, the Zonka also has all sorts of tricks thanks to which you can win more often.
If you won’t play Zonk yourself, sooner or later, then the Ratay’s guard, nicknamed the Nightingale, will introduce you to it. In the plot quest "Peacekeeper", shortly after the prologue, Indřichu will be given the task of patrolling the streets of Ratay with the guard - and at some point the characters will get to the inn, where they’ll decide to have a rest. The Nightingale will teach the main character to play dice there.
The essence of Zonk is simple: players take turns throwing dice in an attempt to roll at least one die, which will bring points, or a whole combination. Most often, the one who gets the first 2000 points wins, although sometimes you need to score 3000 points to win.
One dice with a unit gives one hundred points, one dice with a five-digit face - 50 points. All other values will not bring you points until you throw a combination of three (or more) bones of the same face. In this case, the number of points in this case will be equal to the value of the bone multiplied by 100. That is, three dice with a “two” will give 200 points, three dice with a “three” - 300, three dice with a “five” - 500 points and so on. Another equivalent bone in combination will multiply the sum by two. And then four dice with “two” will give 400 points, five dice with “three” - 1200 points, six dice with “six” - 4800 points.
The exception to all these calculations is only the die that falls out with the “unit”. Three such dice will give you 1000 points at once, four - 2000 points, five - 4000 points, six - 8000 points.
Throwing the dice, you put aside the cubes that give points, and face the choice - throw again or pass the move to the opponent. If you postpone a couple of dice after the throw, it makes sense to roll the remaining four dice again. On the other hand, if you set aside three or four dice, then throwing the remaining dice is a big risk. After all, if you throw and you don’t have a single dice giving points, then your score will be reset this turn, and the right to throw will automatically be transferred to the opponent.
Thus, under standard conditions and bones, victory in the Zonka depends entirely on luck. True, the chance of winning can be increased if you find in the treasures scattered throughout the map, special cheating bones. Say, a dice for odd numbers increases the chance of falling out of "units", "triples" and "fives", a dice of the Holy Trinity - a chance of falling out of "triples" and the like. The main thing is do not take bad and ordinary bones - there is no sense in them.
We talked about where to look for treasures and treasures in one of the previous guides. In it you will find both an indication of the place on the map, and screenshots with the contents of the caches. Find those in which special bones lie, and you can safely go to the nearest tavern.
