Screen Share allows to duplicate the screen from your Android device. You will be able transmit all content on your Android device, such as vacation photos and YouTube videos, to your TV. Wi-Fi Direct is a connection that wirelessly transmits 1080p video or high-quality sound. You won’t miss a thing because of its greater range of action than Bluetooth.

Before you get started, please be aware that these types of connections require your TV and device to support the Screen Share function. Android phones or Windows 7 or 8 devices, Windows PCs and Windows PCs must have the Screen Share function. Your computer must also have a compatible chipset, graphics card, and adapter WiFi with Intel®. Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 computers and Linux systems (there is an Open Source OpenWFD project).

How to set it?

Make sure the HbbTV feature has been turned off on your TV. Turn on Screen Share.

For webOS 2.0 users, follow these steps:

• Click the button on your far right to open the Smart menu. To see more options, click on the Quick Access Bar.
• Click on Screen Share to open the application.
• Select the type and model of the device that will connect to the TV.
• Miracast is activated and the TV will wait until you connect with your device.
• If Screen Share cannot be found in the quicklaunch bar, click on “Input” to get it.
• Take a look at the Screen Share entry list.
• Miracast is activated and the TV will wait until you connect to your device.

Use webOS 3.0 to do this:

• Open the Screen Share application from the Smart menu by clicking on it.
• To turn on the TV, click the Listening Mode icon. You will be prompted to connect your device.
• Activate Screen Share on the smartphone you are using (if this is the device that you want to connect).
• Open the notification pane and activate Miracast/ Screen Sharing (Screen Mirroring/Display Mirroring or Allshare cast). If you cannot find the icon, ensure that Android 4.2 (or higher) is installed.

A question will then appear on the television’s screen. Your TV will verify the connection. If you accept, your TV can then duplicate the screen of the smartphone. You may have problems with your Screen Share not working LG TV. There are lots of resources available online that can help you.

Be aware that from now on everything that appears on a phone or tablet (or PC) will be copied to your TV screen. So that your TV can fully display your mobile, we recommend you place it in landscape.

If you are planning to watch a lengthy video, a film, or many photographs, reduce the brightness on your device. It is impossible to turn off the active function.
